Here is an easy way...make up a "perfect" portion size and place it in an easily accessible area of the refrigeration unit. In this portion, you need to add extensive amounts of garlic. Now, after the sauce has disappeared, wait 30 minutes or so and the ghost will let out a few loud notes on his/her butt-trumpet. At this time, jump out from around the corner and yell "gotchya" (be sure to avoid the brown cloud that will no doubt be surrounding the culprit. Good hunting!

Many times I've noticed that it's the smaller variety of ghosts that make food items disappear. They seem to not care what the item is as long as they can get it, and they have the most peculiar tastes.

Are you referring to the steam coming off the pasta right after you cook it? If you are, I am interested in finding out the answer to this riddle as well. I usually tell the steam, "Go to the light, go to the light, go to the light" and eventually it does. It saddens me to think what horrors befell that poor tortured spirit every time I cook pasta.

By setting an enchanted ninja on him. You raise the ninja of doom by coating your balls in a special paste made of horse dung and crushed pop tarts and spin around in circles and yell "I am a pretty flower!"
