I am tired of my family asking me when I am going to start having babies. I haven't thought of one comeback that will stop them from asking. If I say that I am not ready their response is that you are never ready. Please Help!

Just tell them you will when want to. If they want babies tell them to have some and leave you alone.

Maybe if you tell them you choose not to discuss something so personal they will feel they offended you and leave you alone?

And might I say that never being ready is a load of crap. I think that you considering your own life is a good way to start planning for children. You are making sure you are mentally and financially prepared and theres nothing wrong with that. Families just like babies- dont let them get to you.

Aww, I HATE that question. My husband and I have been married for 6 years and we are just now prego, and it was unplanned. We got this question all the time. But we had to battle it from people outside family because of our line of work.
We just said that we were going to wait 6 years or so. Whenever the time was right. Or you could say, when God wants it to happen, it will happen.
Grant it, none of these really stopped the questions, but it help ward them off.

I like to retort, "When was the last time you had anal sex?"

Then when they look confused/embarrassed/outraged I say, "I'm sorry, I thought we were asking incredibly personal questions all of a sudden."

That usually shuts them up. Eventually, it gets back to them that my husband and I are not having children.

I just tell them the truth.
I am not married
I can not afford a baby
I am not ready

I know you were looking for a different answer but I think honesty is the best policy.

i like shelley b's response *laughs* only thing is if they are that impatient about you getting pregnant and having babies they may push you to be tested more and try infertility treatments etc.
Good luck!

Just tell them when the time is right or if you are religious "When God decides" and then just walk away.
