The epilogue wasn't what I expected, it barely told anything about anyone. I had to read and watch a bunch of J.K. Rowling interviews to find out what happened to all of them. There also should've been more of a Bellatrix vs. Neville, but instead Bellatrix vs. Molly? I mean, really!

I didn't want anyone to die, but I knew some had to, I can't believe she killed Tonks and Lupin because she reprieved Mr. Weasley! She killed two of my favorite characters because she didn't have the heart to kill Mr. Weasley. Hmm, so she has the heart to kill all of the marauders? One of which just had a baby! I mean, geez! So, I don't think it was right to kill of Lupin and Tonks, or at least give them a more respectable death, she didn't even write how they died! I also teared up when Dobby died, I didn't expect, or want him to die.

So, to sum it up, it was an awesome book with a few flaws that are hard for me to accept. NOOOO TONKS AND LUPIN DID NOT DIE!!!!!! I refuse to accept it. So, anyway, all in all, really good book and I cannot wait until she writes the Hogwarts encycolpedia.

I liked the last Potter book but it is not my favorite. I wish Dobby hadn't died. Or Hedwig. And as for the epilogue, hated it! It felt more like a Hallmark thing more than anything else. And completely unnecessary.

It was incredible. I was surprised that she could pull it off.

I don't like Ginny, and the Epilogue wasn't very satisfying. Plus, if you've read the sixth book a few times (which I have,) you would remember where the Diadem was...

I loved the ending, for a long time i think we all thought Harry and Hermione would end up married because they were so close, but i am perfectly happy about the ending sad that fred got the ax:(
i was rooting for Ron and Hermione!

I love all the books, but I thought this book was the best in the series. All of the deaths were sad, but I thought that Dobby's and Hedwig's deaths were the saddest.

It was great, but not the only great sorcery fantasy. Look at these:

Overall, it was a disappointing. I though JK kind of pigeon holed herself into a mediocre ending. There were to many marketing promises and hyped up rumors for her to do a good job.

Just the fact that she is writing the back-story/glossary now points to the fact that the details were not well though thru ahead of time. The stories had many; many plot lines simply ran out and were left unanswered.

The good think is that there is now a whole generation of good readers. I hope we all can find something to read next!

i didnt think it was that great... it would have been better without the epilogue i think... it seemed too much like a 'happily ever after' i'm kinda annoyed that Fred died, and harry lived! i don't find that normal... Fred was never in direct danger and he died... and harry didn't !? and im embarrassed to say, but i'm kinda sad that bellatrix died... it seemed too much like 'good completely killed evil...'
