f) These are the people that vote for them. Change would upset there voters and even if the new idea is better they would rather throw money at a problem than try and fix it. Peace

B, once you give an entitlement to a group, they feel entitled to it for as long as they live. The latest example is the drug benefit for seniors. It is way over the projected budget, it was not necessary in the first place, and you will never be able to take it away from the seniors because they vote! The politicians of both parties wanted to appeal to the seniors, so the Dems sold out the poor and the Repubs threw out their balanced budget and small govt ideals!

A pox on both of the parties! I am an independent!
