there is alot and I mean alot of white like substances floating around in my above ground pool that looks like white skin, you know kind of like toliet paper shreds if there is anyone out there who can help me with this I would surely appreciate it. I have put bags of shock in it, algaecide,water clarifier, and doubled up on my chlorine. If there is something I have not done please let me know

Algaicide will cause this, mainly do to large amounts of algae in the water now days with the drought,
depends on what type of filter you have, if a standard cone type not much you can do, sand filter type back wash and dump to waste,
i just skim it off, takes a while but it will clear up.

Basically it may take 5 or so days to clear up--you may have put in a chemical previously in an incorrect amount or way that led to the reaction.
