well I been through one child and doin another...you want them to drive cause you are tired of hauling them around but you are worried that they are driving safely and make it home...after they have been driving on their own for about a year or so you feel more at ease

Oh yea!!! Mine has a car but it's been "in the shop" so much that I still feel like his personal taxi service. They just dropped the car off for more work to be done tomorrow on it. DO NOT let your kid get a car that's been lowered. We bought the car for $6000 and have spent $1100 on it last week and went through countless tires due to the lowering not being done right. We'll be spending another $250 tomorrow on that wretched thing.

Mine is old enough to drive but he is not old enough to play with his band in the bars unless I go too.

I did at one time, but I didn't mind. We had some alone time which was pretty great.
