Connecticut actually borders New York (and New York City, believe it or not). Philadelphia is at least 90 minutes from New York.

Connecticut is closer but it all depends on which part of NYC you are located. You shouldn't have any trouble finding employment as a medical assistant as long as you have the necessary training and certification. Philadelphia is the most affordable of all three areas you noted. NYC housing is very expensive and Connecticut is also pricey. If you work in Philadelphia, you would have the choice of commuting from any of the areas nearby, including the State of Delaware and New Jersey.

Philadelphia is not a state...its a city in Pennsylvannia. Nevertheless, the State of Connecticut is closer to New York City than the city of Philadelphia.

Philadelphia is a city. Connecticut is a state. It is very expensive to live in Conn, Philly isn't as bad but they're both too far to commute to NYC. Most people who commute to NYC live in New Jersey.

You cant commute to NYC from Pennsylvania. Its to far, and traffic would be attrocious.
However southeastern Conn does have public transportation into NYC, via Metro North. Without traffic, Stamford, CT is probably about 45 minutes from the Bronx, but traffic always makes it longer.
Both states are pretty expensive to live in. Gas prices in CT at times can be higher than NYC, PA varies.
If I were you, Id consider NJ. Much cheaper (I paid $2.45 for gas today), and theres plenty of jobs availble, especially in the medical field.

OH no. You didn't really just call Philadelphia a state, did you? And where in Connecticut? It is virtually impossible to give you the answer that you are looking for.

Connecticut.
In order to get to Piladelphia you have to go through the whole state of New Jersey.

ok, philadelphia's a city....
depends on where in Pennsylvania or Connecticut you're looking for as far as distance goes. there's more mass transit from PA than CT, though. mapquest your cities for distance.

CT is about 30 miles away - but that section of CT is extremely high priced.
