This normally happens when alarm system in confused state.or main relay loose contact or faulty.

First reset your alarm manually.that is you, on the ignition switch, when the lights appear on the cluster.pls press the reset button.now try to start. It shud start without you accelerating.
if this doe not help,then
Please check your main relay.if found in good condition.then proceed to check the fuel pump and fuel filter. Also check the fuel line for hair line leaks.
You shud succeed.
wish u the best.

You should have 4 keys...
Key 1 - main key with light.
Key 2 - main key w/o light
Key 3 - valet key
Key 4 - plastic wallet key

If you have trouble with the EWS transponder in your key, pressing the accelerator will do nothing. So if you can start the car by pressing the accelerator, it's got nothing to do with the key. You aren't really "compensating" for a bad key. If the key is bad, your starter wouldn't even turn. You can simulate this by wrapping your key with a couple layers of aluminum foil and try starting the car.

Sounds like you might have a fuel system problem... how long was it since you last changed your fuel filter or checked your spark plugs?
