I have this awkward sort of silence moment. I've never really found a really graceful way to just say thank you without feeling a bit embarrassed.

same here.
sometimes i get shy..if it's a really nice compliment...so I forget how to respond. So I just stand there and stare with a small smile..and then I finally remember to say thank you.

I say thank you, but I always feel awkward when people compliment me for some reason. I don't know why that is.

I typically brush it away and downplay the compliment. Makes me uncomfortable.
