after the initial meeting should we head down there every other week or so or would that be a bit too much..
im planning on asking her next year and when i do i want a blessing from her father.
im confident if they have given me a chance they will see how much I am in love with their daughter and how much she is in love with me...
not to mention the fact both of us have never been happier in our lives.
whats the best way for them to see that, how many visits should we make so that will happen

You still have a year. Get to know them and let them get to know you. It should be up to the both of you when to visit. And this is just so awsome that there are still men out there concerned about a how to ask the fathers permission.

Every 2-3 weeks if they are willing to have you but never overstay your welcome. You could also invite them to your place or out to dinner once in a while. As they get to know you a little better maybe set one day every couple weeks or so to say, have brunch, a card night, or something that they would like to do. A year is quite a while to allow them to get to know who you are and what you're about and they themselves will see the change in their daughter (the happiness, the glow in her face everytime you're mentioned, the love she has for you etc.) as well. DON'T push it whatever you do, remember to always be yourself, don't pretend to be somebody you're not. In the end they will see for themselves what kind of person you are and choose to accept you or not (not all parents like their child's choice in a b/f or a g/f for that matter), you need to prepare yourself for whatever may happen. You cant put a number on getting to know someone. Just spend some time with them, and most importantly BE YOURSELF!!! Relax and be confident in yourself. It wont take them long to see that you both are very happy!!

Every other week sounds good. Your not there everyday and you are getting to know eachother which is good. And you are encouraging you gf to go see her parents which I am sure they will love. You will be fine. Don't worry.
