i had breast reduction surgery in 2002 and it was the best thing that happened to me. i was a 34 DD and was a very small woman (128 pounds and a juniors size 7/8 in jeans). having these huge breasts for my size was miserable and caused me a lot of back pain and caused all of my shirts and dresses to look horrible on me because i was so small and my breasts were so big. i had no choice but to wear extra large shirts.
anyway, i did go in for my first consultation with a plastic surgeon and he asked me all types of questions about my back pain and he asked me to undress. they took pictures of my breasts for insurance reasons and they measured me. they let me know right away that i was a perfect candidate for a reduction. he also told me that he was going to make my new breast size a large C cup. so a few weeks later, i came in for my surgery and they made all these marks on my chest where they were going to do all the cutting. they gave me anesthesia and the procedure lasted about 5 hours. they did inform me that i may lose sensation in my nipples and they also asked if i planned to have more children before they did my surgery. if you plan to have kids, then you need to wait because you will not be able to breastfeed and your chest may enlarge. well, they cut around my nipples, down the center of my breasts, and under my breasts. they took out a lot of the tissue and they also did liposuction under my arms so i wouldn't have that extra sagging skin. i have good skin, so my scars aren't bad at all. my doctor took me down to a C cup. i came home all bandaged up and wrapped tight. i had to change my bandages regularly and re-wrap myself up. i was also on plenty of morphine for the pain. i had to go back and let my doctor do follow-ups to make sure i was healing properly and to let him know that i did indeed lose some sensation in my nipples. i healed beautifully and unfortunately, i did get my boobs back because i got pregnant in 2004. i am a D cup again. i also do still have back pain and when i did have the surgery i looked so much better in my clothes and especially in my dresses and shirts. it was worth it for me, even if for a little while. my sister had one too and is happy with her results. it took me about 6 months to fully heal and to start lifting things up to 15 pounds again. no one can tell that i had the surgery done if they were to see my breasts because i healed so well. my hubby forgets that i had it done because they still look good. i'm 34 and my breasts still sit up and look perky.

Breasts should be shapely. They should lend a woman confidence and should neither be too big nor too tiny. Many women have extra large or saggy breasts and struggle to find ways to fix them. Thankfully, breast reduction surgery has arrived on the scene which can help fix large and unshapely breasts. But it all depends on which doctor you chose to work with because working with a newbie, inexperienced doctor means that chances of adverse results become high. Always work with a qualified surgeon, someone like:

I have too much information on my surgery but here is a few quick bits:

I was in surgery for three hours and stayed overnight in the hospital. I was in NO PAIN after waking in the recovery room and could immediately tell that they were smaller.

I took two weeks off of work, you should take more than that if you are in a physically active job since you should not be using your arms too much after surgery.

I did not have drains but I do know many who have. I could shower after 24 hours and I know some women who had to wait ONE week!

This site helped me out tons, please check it out!
