Weed Killer works best on a very hot day the hotter the better.
Spray on a very hot and sunny day. If it rains that night it is ok but, try to spray again in a day or two but, if it doesn;t rain you will be well on your way of being with out weeds for a few days. Once you get them under controll than you will be able to pull them by hand or just spray when you see them again.

If you do it in the rain it will wash right off.
Wait until the rain stops and then apply week killer. Most likely what they mean is it has to dry on the plant to be waterproof.

The best time to spray is during the heat of the day so that the weed killer can be absorbed and dry on the plant leaves. Let me guess you have Round-up. Read the ingredients: glysophate is the active ingredient in most killers and the higher the # the better. Gly4 is 41% glysophate which is more than double what is in Round-up.

Label will tell you on the specific product. However I would do it when the weeds are dry & rain is not eminent. I use herbicides a lot and sell some so I have had experience with using it at teh right time. I don't like to waste my money so I never spray when I think it is likely that it will not work to it's best ability.

Don't use it in the rain. Wait until the rain stops and you believe you have an hour or so without rain. (It depends on the product--read the label.)

If it says it works in the rain, believe it. I used it, it showed for an hour and two days later, seeds were dying.

to be effective the weed killer needs to not get washed off until it has penetrated the plant. different poisons take different times to do so .i often have success with some boiling water.(poison free )poured straight onto base of weed.
