I havent called yet, but my boyfriend heard it was closed. If it is closed for demolition (like he said)- are there any comparable restaurants in Boston we should try out?

It is history.

If you want to stay in the Seaport area, you could go to the "No Name." Though I haven't eaten there yet myself, I have heard that the "Legal Seafoods" new concept restaurant, "LTK" is terrfic.

There's a great place called Salvatore's across the street from where Jimmy's was razed...it's a funky place with some decent pasta dishes...you just have to deal w/an obnoxious ice woman at the front door who looks like Brigitte Neilson (where did they get her?)

There's always the Charthouse on the waterfront. I havent been in a while, but I dont hear any complaints about it - used to be great steak and seafood there.

Jimmy's is "closed for renovations" and will reopen in spring of 2008. The building will be razed and redeveloped into two separate buildings totaling 40,000 square feet within a three-year period. The new buildings will include two new restaurants as well as office and retail space.

Try "Cape Neddick Lobster Pound & Harborside Restaurant"
The Cape Neddick Lobster Pound serves up classy seafood (no prizes for guessing their specialty, but the steamed clams are also excellent), as well as steaks and chicken. Dinner entrée prices fall in the $11-$21 range (lobster prices vary with market rates, of course). There's special fare for children.

Location:
60 Shore Rd
PO Box 1
Cape Neddick, ME 03902

It is gone, sadly. You could go to the No Name, or Anthony's Pier Four. Personally, I don't care for Legal Seafoods, but many people do. Locke-Ober is also great for good seafood (and many other wonderful dishes, included steak, duck, etc). If you can go a little outside the city, Jasper White's Summer Shack in Cambridge is also delicious. Boston is filled with SO many different places to eat, and delicious food, it's easy to find something you will love!
