Now that the FBI has relaxed its policy on applicants who have used marijuana and soldiers are testing positive for it in Iraq should we just legalize it and be done wasting time over such a silly thing when we have terrorists to worry about .

18 Billion dollars a year on the "war on drugs". And growing every year. You would think they would be making a dent in supply.
Clogged prison systems filled with people convicted of possession or use of marijuana (not even sale, which might be argued as a "bad thing"), a bloated DEA that only exists to expand itself at taxpayers' expense, Billions in lost revenues due to the largest cash crop in the world going unregulated, untaxed... there are many reasons to step back and re-evaluate America's marijuana policies.
I could go on about the side benefits of the industrial hemp industry as a source of fiber, fuel and feed, but you can read it all for yourself, if you aren't blinded by hatred of "hippy happy".

it would probably free up some money to support the war - but would hippies stop smoking it being they are usually against war? - and would there be neocon Rastafarian's walking around ? It would just be too weird I dont know
