Time is abstract, who derived how a second is measured? My concept of time may be different to my neighbours. The breakdown of the bodies cell structure just happens due to energy loss. Time is a measure of one event relative to another, it can be expressed in terms of a ruler in which the ruler can take any form, ie straight or bent.

Time not only has an effect on everything, but it also IS everything. The physics trilogy answers why this is true. The trilogy states: E = mc2, m = E/c2, and c2 = E/m. The last is that of a field of gravity, or that of a field of time. It is the first two concepts we need to look at in order to determine the effect of time upon ourselves. In the first equation it is the multiplier and the second the divider. In each of these it is the very basis of the equation itself. This points to our universe as being formed of the value of "c". It is one of physical time, or how quickly an act is able to be done. The value of "c^2" describes our reality as to how quickly the present becomes the past, the actual duration of any event, and the construction of our universe itself (electromagnetic energy in the larger form and the value of "h" in the lesser). All that physically exists to mankind in this universe is time.

time is a dimension, the 4th dimension in our 4D existence. It is not a constant as it is relative which also means that the speed of light cannot be a constant. Gravity can bend light and so also time, yet it is so weak in OUR dimension that we can defeat it simply by picking up a pencil. Does time age us? you answered that and got the wrong answer. Our cells break down over time, if there was no time they would be the same as when they occured, so time does effect things.

We may invent concepts like seconds, minutes, hours etc to measure time but that does NOT mean that we invented time. We also developed measuring devices to record distances but we didn't invent distance either. What about speed which relates distance travelled to time taken?
How old are you? Are you still as fit as you were when you were at school. Of course not, and it's not just your cells that deteriorate with time, so do your joints, your organs and your blood vessels.
What about ancient buildings which have slowly crumpled and decayed over thousands of years. Do you think the Acropolis or the Egyptian temples always looked like that?

The passage of time bored me while I read your retarded question - or did I just get bored in an instant???
Cells take TIME to break down - leading to our aging - we get older the more TIME we live.
If time is merely a recording of events by humans - and humans have had events - and those events have been recorded - ergo, desto, pronto: time exists.
EUREKA!!!

Time and space are intertwined and cannot be separated. For instance it is known that the sum of time and velocity is a constant ( the speed of light) To say it another way, If you are standing still, time is advancing at the speed the light. However, if you are traveling at the speed light, time stands still.

A Buddhist would tend to agree,as time is relative, therefore not absolute,it,in and of it's self does not exist,or only exist in relation to something else. Regards Frank

each radioactive substance decays within a specific time. That is each substance has its own specific time that it transmute to another substance or element. nothing can stop, slow, or speed this transformation. Only time affects this change.
