I answered some guy's question a few days ago about Vick. And then he started emailing me calling me a troll and asking if I work for PETA just because I said stuff like Vick should go to jail. The guy was all like "football is more important. who cares about some stupid dogs? other people have been doing it for years." blah blah blah. it's his own fault, he shouldn't have been doing the dog fighting.

OK! I am not going to go into right or wrong! I am against dog fighting as much as everyone else on here. First and foremost!
NOW! That said.
As far as dog fighting that was and still is part of the culture he grew up in, and the people do not see anything wrong fighting dogs.
That has been common practice in the rural parts of the country.
I've worked in plants where the main entertainment for that area was fighting dogs, and betting on the fights.
That said I think they are making an example out of him first because he is a Big Name Football star. And second because he is black! Neither of which I like.
I know that is going to make a lot of people mad but that is the real world outside the cities.
And before anyone jumps on my case I am a dead even 6 o'clock middle of the road-er when it comes to politics. I am also white.

Prison? He won't really be in Prison. he'll probably end up in some "Paradise Prison" made especially for the rich and famous. He will never really suffer for what he did. Those poor dogs. I wish they would put him in a cell with a bunch of rabid pitbulls.

first, let's hope that he actually sees some prison time and that he's not just merely given probation and made to pay some dinky, little fine. second, he deserves to lose not only his job, but any and all product endorsements that he has. do you think that you or I would still be employed by our respective employers if they got whiff of our doing the sort of things that Vick and his cohorts did? I think not...

Well, one article I read said the feds conviscated something called a "rape board". It was used during the breeding of dogs. If the female dog was unwilling she was strapped to the "rape board". I think Vick's cellmate should be given a "rape board".

Well being it that he's a rich celebrity, if he goes to prison, he'll have a special cell all to himself just like Paris Hilton did.

i dont think he should go to prison because he gets to live without paying a cent for two years or so(we, the tax payers, cover the cost). i think he should be fined a LOT of money, then he should have to figure out how to live afterwards because all his sponsors are gone, he probably wont be able to play for the nfl, and theres a slim chance that any respectable company would hire him. he should struggle to stay alive financially even though i would love to hear about him getting pounded in the @ss in prison.

I hope he starts a rag tag team of misfits that challenge the guards to a game of prison rules football. It would be a laughfest riot!

He was so very over-rated anyway. I am glad justice is served. I just feel bad for the Falcon fans, especially the kids, who looked up to him as a superstar. Crushing blow when your idol is false.
