I have several dog urine stains on grout. The grout was laid in May and promptly sealed but the sealing did not prevent the urine from staining it. Any suggestions will be welcome.

use a combination of laundry bleach and muriatic acid
be very care with muriatic acid it is powerful you must dilute it a lot read instructions carefully
first apply the bleach and then wipe off if that is not to your liking next use a powdered chlorine bleach like ajax moisten the stain with water and then sprinkle the powder on .let stand for seven minutes or so ...wipe off and check results and finally use the acid and rinse with clean water
no if non of this works .although it should be gone by now. you can remove the grout itself with a grout removal tool
and then apply new grout

We've battled this problem for years. We've bought supposedly better stain resistant carpet, but it doesn't matter. I've tried all the ideas mentioned above but the best so far is a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water or just plain club soda. One big problem is the carpet pad. If you have the usually used rebond pad, it allows the urine to saturate it. The smell will never go away (at least not to your dog). You need to have a rubber pad (which are more expensive of course) so the liquid sits on top of it and you can remove or neuturalize it. There's a newer carpet out by Hollytex that is supposedly guaranteed for 5 years against any types of stains. Most carpets exclude pet stains from their warranty.

Borax make a paste with it and water, use a brush to agitate it into the grout, let it dry and sweep it up. You can also use Nature's Miracle which is a natural enzyme that eats up the bacteria in urine. You can find it at the discount and pet stores.
