This post is NOT spam. I'm asking a question about an organization that promotes cheating. It's a real organization and it's doing very, very well across North America. Its premise is that men and women can get together "no strings attached" and explore relationships outside of pre-existing relationships.

I consider it trashy. I've never cheated in my life(plenty of opportunity), and I would never knowingly sleep with a married woman. It's just a matter of respect.

I mean, there's nothing wrong with having fun in life, but I hate those who lie, cheat, or steal. I have much more respect for swingers, than I do for cheaters.

Edit: Baba Yaga: Not an attack, but I would like to know where you came up that it's mainly men? Or did you just assume that men are cheaters? I can tell you that my ex did, my friend's wife cheated, my other friend's wife cheated, co-workers cheating on their husbands, have had numerous married women proposition me(sexually), Acquintances cheating on there husbands, I know 2 women who cheated at their bachelorette parties. I've never cheated.

Am I in favor of it? Absolutely not. Cheating is wrong , cheating is bad. A site for married men to go and cheat, Surely there is a shortage of women. I think women cheat less than men. This "thing" always existed in the past. What promoted prostitution? Married men travelling etc etc.
World is going banans I tell you.. I wanna sign up and find out if it really works hehe.. just kidding..

I think it's repulsive. It's a personals site (one of many) for openly married people who want to fool around.

Edit: 1. Most of the people on there are married men looking to cheat on their wives. There is a distinct shortage of women who are signed up. It's not "swinging," which requires partners willing to participate, it's freakin' cheating where the spouse (usually the wife) isn't supposed to know about it.

2. The site was created, and is run, by a man. "Ashley Madison" is a made-up name. He claims it's very successful.

3. They do it because they can.

Edit for Kendrick: I've seen the founder on TV, that's how I know it was started by a man. Even he admitted most of the people who are on it looking outside their marriages are men. And if memory serves, I believe he charges the men for membership but women get in free! (But don't hold me to that; I could be wrong.) Sounds unfair, but it is what it is. And you're also right that women cheat. My best friend cheated on her husband for two years until it dawned on her that none of the many men she slept with was going to marry her. She almost, but didn't, go to Ashley Madison.

Wow what a frivolous question. It is so inane. How is this relevant to feminists? This doesn't even belong in this section of Q&A. And if you are thinking about having an affair, your marriage/relationship isn't nearly as strong as it should be. Most women have affairs simply because they are insecure and seek validation......

Kendrick has a good point. I know way more women who have cheated than men.

It'smeagain: have you been cheated on? Sorry....oh wait, no I'm not. And consider yourself REPORTED. Have a nice day!! Oh, and no, I found them in the most normal places...granted, I was an undergrad, but I didn't twist their arms....quite the opposite.

LOL keep giving me those thumbsdown....when you are right, you're right, and I know I am. But if it makes you feel better, go for it. :)

That is pathetic. I know there are people out there who want to “swing”, but it only invites trouble.

I wonder if the company does background checks on any of these people to screen out the dregs of society?

My view is that this post is spam.

I'm not one of the misled masses who think that there is absolutely never, ever any reason to cheat on a spouse. Anyone who believes that is in dreamland surrounded by dancing pink unicorns.
