I think as you get older the costumes will get smaller, but halloween is an awesome time to hang out with friends. Go as a fairy!!!

If you are escorting younger children you will always have plausible deniability for dressing up as an adult.

As an adult, if someone who is as tall as I am (and I'm 5'10) rings the door bell with no kid in tow, I'm going to get nervous--and I don't live in a bad neighborhood.

With that in mind I would cap trick or treating at the age of 13 unless you are with a pack of younger children.

Dressing up for the holiday is NEVER age restricted, however. I would say fairie only if you don't mind having glitter all over for the next 3 days.

I would say that if you are in high school that is too old. I would go as a hippie not a fairy. You could also go as a hobbit or Gandalf the Grey wizard.

I think about 102 is about the right age to be considered too old. I went dressed as The Tooth Fairy a couple years back with my grand kids. Yep, tiara, tutu, cigar and all.

I think that a good limit is 15-16 only if you wear a costume! Otherwise people will think you are just doing it for the candy and not for the fun. Have fun! :)

Went once with the kids as The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Couple pillows and a nylon stocking stretched over my face, maintaining a ghoulish appearance.

Don't go as a Fairy in this day and time. Fairy has a different interpretation now-a-days. DUH!
