If you are referring to having sex without feeling anything for the person you are having sex with, then yes, I think it is entirely possible. However I would certainly not call it a healthy practice.
Human beings are creatures of emotion by nature, and so you really have to be in a bad place to have sex with no passion or feeling. There are a lot of physiological changes that occur in us during sex, that I believe are intended to enhance our psychological and emotional state.
I think physiological part of the the process was originally intended to promote bonding between people engaged in sex. Given that, I would tend to think that repeated emotionless sex would possibly also create psychological or emotional problems as well. It's just not the way that humans were designed to operate.

Yes, it is completely possible because in ancient times (even up into the 1900s in some places) a lot of marriages were arranged. So before the whole concept of Marrying For Love came around, sex was basically a way to produce offspring. But it wasn't completely mechanical either. I'm sure even they had their turn offs and turn ons.
If it was possible in the old days it would still be possible to have emotionless sex. It is a verb, not a feeling - they are not necessarily related. However I would definately NOT recommend having sex with someone you aren't in love with.
There are also gold diggers, prostitutes, etc who have sex for some sort of material payoff, teens who have sex out of curiosity, people who have sex out of boredom, etc...

sure, why wouldn't it be possible... I would say more so for men (in general) than women but the real question is WHY would someone have emotionless sex? what is the point?
I would have to say that it is most definitely NOT healthy and not a good practice.
Sex should be reserved for 2 people that LOVE one another deeply - it is taken far far too much for granted today.

It is possible if neither person is attached to the other and is having sex just to orgasm. An example of emotionless sex would be a prostitute having relations with someone for the purpose of receiving money. Sadly, emotionless sex is probably just as common as passionate sex.

Many religions require no enjoyment in the process by their rules. I doubt it happens, but figure it must be possible. I asked a question about having sex to have children and many women said there was little enjoyment when trying to produce a child, it was so forced and purpose-driven that it made it a chore. I don't think it is unhealthy but it is unenjoyable.

I don't really think it's possible-one person is always going to have feelings for the other. It's probably not healthy mentally, but if you use protection I guess it is physically.

Sometimes it depends on your childhood experience, age, stress, etc.. If ither one of these doesn't occur, you might want to check with your doctor.
P.S. If you are a young person, you shouldn't be going thru
