A Movie that made me cry was this old movie I saw that was called:
"Flowers in The Attic"
Why?
Because a lady disowned her children just to please her mother. The children were hidden up in the attic almost forever with a very little to eat and she promise to come back for them and she really left them in the attic to die. When I saw this movie, I couldn't believe how a mother could be so loving at first then just turn so evil and mistreat her own children.

"Beauty and the Beast", "13 Going on 30", and "The Holiday" made me cry. I'm a sucker for romantic movies because the men in them pretty much personify what I want in a partner - the confession and the romance and the affection! The tears always seem to come when love is confessed (Belle to the Beast as he dies, Matt to Jenna on his wedding day, Graham to Amanda in bed). "The Holiday" had such poignant dialogue about love and relationships, particularly Iris's speeches about unrequited love. I think everyone can relate to that in some fashion, and because I could, I cried.

In the movie Man on Fire at the very end when the little girl is being rescued by Denzel. The song that plays while this whole scene is taking place gives it a lot of effect. It gets me everytime.

My family would say All movies make me cry!
Probably the the one that hit me the hardest was Pearl Harbor. I think it made me cry 7-8 different times.
An old 1939 Bette Davis movie "Dark Victory" was a real tearjerker too.

Titanic because Jack died at the end.
The Lakehouse because two people fell in love and one was in the year 2006 and the other in 2004. The reason why it was sad was because at first they couldn't meet each other but then at the end they finally did. If you haven't seen this movie, it might not sound sad at all but it is.
The Notebook because their love was so strong that it took them away together. Also, Allie had dementia and Noah kept trying to bring her back by reading to her about their past.
The Pursuit of Happiness because a guy struggles to make ends meet, his wife ends up leaving him and his son, and they (the father and son) eventually become homeless. But by the end, I had happy tears because the father became a
stockbroker and made it big. :)
The Sisterhood of Traveling Pants because a really young girl
(Bayley) dies in that movie from leukemia. She became good friends with Tibby before she died.
Ladder 49 because a firefighter dies and his wife and kids are devastated. Also, some of his firefighter friends died before he did.

An old movie called "Imitation of Life" with Lana Turner. It's a sad movie about a mom and daughter who cannot resolve their issues and then the mom dies. Another old movie, Madame X, does it to me also. About a mom who is forced from her family by a vindictive mother-in-law who gets hooked on some illegal substance, kills her dealer, and then is defended in court by her son who has become a lawyer, but he does not know it's his mom he is defending.
Of course, also Terms of Endearment. There are more but I can't think of them right now.
How about you?

E.T., the Pursuit of Happyness, Eight Below, March of The Penguins mostly because poor animals die or something happens to the main character.

Erin Brokovich. At the end when she has George with her telling the woman how much she's getting for the settlement just gets you in the moment.
And Titanic, of course, when Rose dies at the end.
