Which I've been a member of, for the past 2 years. But I don't know if I'll be elected. There are a lot of people who will be running, and everyone in the club knows me as someone who is shy, and quiet, and lacks confidence. But this is not true at all. I think I would be able to handle the responsiblities very well.
How do I increase my chances of being elected?

Talk to the voters...you need to have one-on-one talks with them concerning why YOU are the best candidate. In a crowded field, one vote could mean the difference...maybe have a slogan, like..."Our Year."

To be kind as possible, but to say that any school election is all about popularity.
