k.. i've come up with a number of about 100million Muslims (10% of all Muslims) are within this "extreme radicalism". is this crazy on my part? is this number too high? why is it that no leaders in the Muslim community condemn what these terrorists do? they never speak of the insanity of these radicals behaviors. why don't their leaders come forward and condemn them and their actions??

It actually might be a bit low. It maybe more like 20-25%. They all feel that the world MUST convert to Islam so of those not willing to kill many support them in other ways while many of the rest don't say anything.

Muslims do speak out against the radicals. You don't hear it because it is not what you are supposed to hear when someone wants you to hate a percieved enemy. It is hard to tell which are and which are not radicals so the idea is to hate them all. So you kill 90% innocent to get the 10% guilty.

I am using your figures as I am not sure the exact ones. I suggest you are probably close.

Also, is it necessary to have Muslim leaders come on TV and speak to millions of non-Muslims asking Muslims to refrain from the radical behaviors? They talk to the Muslims where the Muslims are. They speak in the Islamic centers and Mosques all over the world. In places like Indonesia where there is a large Muslim population they are speaking out against the radicals. But like everywhere else people hear only what they want to hear.

Every muslim research poll and study puts the number at 10-15% . So you're very close . Those same polls also indicate that 25-40% of muslims 'sympathize' or agree with the Radical Islamists . THIS is not good whatsoever . In fact , the number may have reached 'critical mass' already and might not ever be able to be over-turned .
Only God can help us now .

There are Muslims and there is Islam.

Islam, if taken to mean the life and actions of Muhammad, its founder, and his writings, the Koran, and other later writings, the Hadiths, is an extremely violent theology - dare I say pathology. Muhammad was a cross between Charles Manson and Blackbeard, constantly leading his followers on unprovoked raids on villages that refused to recognize him as a prophet and pay him a tribute. They looted the villages, massacred the men, kept the women they liked and sold the rest of the women, and the children, into slavery. In all, tens of thousands were killed and the "arab world," once home to dozens of religions, became the "muslim world." Muhammad left instructions, a religious manual, called the Koran, which essentially says live a certain way, women are second class citizens, convert others to live the same way, and if they refuse, kill them. It says Muslims who do such killing are better than those who don't, and that they are rewarded in heaven for it. It does NOT say to kill only in self-defense but says to kill the unbeliever wherever you may find him. It also says to cut his head and fingertips off.

Muslims are people who claim Islam as their religion.

I do not know the percentages but many of them are not violent and do not support violence.

But to the extent they do not, they go against everything Muhammad did, said and wrote.

You can vote "thumbs down" or you can grow up, go out and buy a Koran and research the life of Muhammad and see for yourself.

In my non-scientific assessment I'd say 10% of Muslims are "extreme" as in very strict but not violent. I'd say only about .0000000001% of Muslims are violent extremists. The rest range from liberal-moderate-just strict.

And I've attended plenty of anti-terrorism and war rallies. We NEVER get any media credit; but u can't say we aren't trying. Heck, I'm on here right now and i'll tell ya clear: I condemn all terrorism, ranging from radical Muslims to the Iraqi war.

peace.

Because the ones that aren't "radical" enough to blow themselves up support those who have the balls to do it.

They never condemn the "extremists" actions, they just say "Not all Muslims are extremists," which is a lie as well.

PS - Uh, how did you come up with these numbers though? There isn't a billion Muslims out there.

When your mind is set to " HATE MUSLIMS ", or their religion, it doesn't really matter, if or if not they come up with any explanation or to condemn who ever!!
