Sort of, barely no one on my fathers side of my family has been to college or barely finished high school. In my moms family college is mandatory. Almost everyone has a degree.

On my dads side, some of my uncles have gone to uni, but earned their degrees late in life. Some of my cousins do have a degree.
But on my mums side, none of my aunties have a degree, and neither do any of my cousins. I am going to be the first one.

I was the first on both sides of the family to complete college. But of the four of the children to my mom and dad, all of us have finished.

My brother & I were the first college grads on my Mom's side, but on Dad's side, a couple cousins beat us by a year or so.
But our generation is the first one NOT growing up & living on farms, on both sides.

same here, only my half sibling has a degree on my fathers side, on my mother's side they have everything from bach to advanced.
