Man's nature does not change.
Technology and the general march of progress does.
I believe the saying applies to the former, not the latter.

I see that every day. A good example is the youngest guys are sporting the same god awful hair styles we had back in he 60s with long bangs. Not to mention the hip huggers that the girls are wearing although back in the 60s we didn't have thongs and the girls didn't show quite so much "meat". We can only hope that the next step is not the fashions of the 70s. I can't begin to describe how bad that was.

I believe that human nature stays the same. Changes happen often as far as clothes, technology, modern conveniences; but the needs of people don't change much. A few examples; the need for love, acceptance, the need to succeed, security.

Only if the results have changed, then there really was a change.

well I see a lot of things going backwards - like womens equality, respect for women, women not wanting to be treated as empty headed idiots and sex objects. women choosing professional careers and not trying to find a sugar daddy to "take care of them". I see everything we fought for being ripped apart and cast aside while so many young women these days seem to WANT to be objectified, and dumb, hopeless and helpless with ZERO self respect for themselves.

if you look back in history you will see that we repeat and repeat over and over again. but we have changed a lot in many ways like the way blacks and whites inter act. the way we do health care.
