I have a 10 gallon tank with 4 mollies. I have 1 black mystery snail but he isn't cleaning up very well, he stays on the walls all day. So, I was thinking about getting some more snails. How many more should I get?

Also, would ghost shrimp eat or harm any baby mollies?

The Mollies will eat the Ghost Shrimp, and any surviving Shrimp will eat any Mollies small enough to catch. Snails are nice to eat algae, but that really is your job... Whenever you vacuum the gravel, just scrape the algae off the walls. To clean a 10 gallon tank, you would need about 4 Mystery Snails... Wouldn't you rather just scrape the algae off?

EDIT: Mystery Snails do not multiply rapidly. Mystery Snails can actually be challenging to breed. The snails that breed like Guppies are Ramshorns, Malaysian Trumpets, or black gravel snails.

I have never had a problem with snails multiplying but shrimp may eat the babies.
