Personally i want my body cremated. Then I want a giant statue of me doing a peace sign with an umbrella in my hand(for thoose rainy days) in my favorite park with my remains inside a bottle sealed inside the statue. I just want to be remembered i guess.
Diffrent yes...werid depends...flashy heck yeah

I want to be donated to a medical school to use in their anatomy lab. When they are done with me, cremate whatever is left over and spread the ashes over Hawaii. Or instead of cremating me, dump whatever is left into Mt. Kilauea. That should take care of the cremating part of it quite nicely, with no need of a creepy urn to sit on the mantle.

My wife and I have chosen cremation. My rationale is: I dislike long drawn out ceremonies, funeral processions are annoying and depressing, having a luncheon when someone has passed is always uncomfortable and depressing. I want to keep things simple, short and sweet. Toast me up and take me home. When my dog died (we were best of friends) I had him cremated and am going to plant his ashes with a tree on some family land. Nothing flashy for me. Maybe a Willow tree....

As a Pagan / Wiccan, I want to have a Nature burial.

I want to be in a wicker or cardboard coffin, buried in a field or wood, with flowers or a tree planted around me, and instead of a headstone, maybe a memorial seat.

Then I will just go back to being part of the cycle of life, death, and rebirth.

I also want a REALLY good wake ~ because of my Celtic roots.

Despite my reasons for choosing burial, I actually have a fear of being buried alive - so I want at least 3 doctors opinions to make sure I really am dead!

my husband doesn't want anyone giving a sermon about him when most clergy have never met the person they are talking about ,so he wants the family to get him to the crematorium ,no expensive cars ,a wheel barrow will do . no service ,just cremation, then his ashes to be thrown off Kilnsey Crag in the lovely Yorkshire dales and afterwords a ham tea and a few pints. I think he expects me to do this job but by then it will be most difficult climbing the mountain with my zimmer frame. I think i will just sling them at he bottom of the crag ,a little cow manure and a few daffodils will do .

I haven't thought about it yet, but I do know burying people is really sad. I've been to 3 or 4 funerals in the past few years and they are all so depressing. I'd lean towards creamation because it's less depressing seeing someone's casket lowered into the cold earth than to have your ashes sprinkled across the water.

It wont be much longer before I get my wish to be cremated. I dont see the sense in giving a funeral director the money for a big sendoff ,when my family could use that money. In 6 months after, who even remembers what kind of service you had?

Cremated and throw me in with the fish...because I dont understand why you want to preserve a body in a grave yard for rememberence...Your love for that person is in you..not in a hole in the ground...

Besides..you can only Lease the plot for 100 years...after that..if no one claims the body..they take it up, cremated it anyways and resale the plot...

It just doesn't make sense...TO THE FISHIES>>> I SAY!

I personally want to be cremated, that way if my family moves they can take me with them and don't have to worry about someone not there to take care of the plot. If they want to they can throw my ashes in the ocean at Ocean City Maryland,I love it there for vacation. My favorite place. I just want my family to remember that I will always love them!!

If i have a choice ( that is if I don't die suddenly and my kids bury me with the hamster in the back yard ) I would like to be buried at sea so that the fish get fed and my bones sleep on the seabed.
