What SHOULD happen? NFL Lifetime Ban. The man fought dogs and killed them himself. There's a difference between shooting a deer with a gun and dumping water on a dog so the electricity will flow better through it's body. There's humane killing and then there's dogfighting. If people started fighting retarded americans would you take the same stance? They both [usually] don't know right from wrong unless you express it over and over in one direction. The same goes for dogs. They punished dogs for doing what they are told. Vick is getting off so easy it's not even funny.

Pacman Jones gets a year's suspension for talking to the police about some of the dumb stuff his friends are doing. The strip club's employee that night even said that Pac was minding his own and the bouncer started threatening to break his knees with his billy club. When Adam got his suspension, he wasn't even charged with a crime, much less guitly/convicted.

Vick pleads guilty to dogfighting, an illegal racket, and inhumanely killing the dogs that lost in some of the most gruesome ways. Vick plead guilty just to avoid gambling charges and more intense sentences under the RICO act. Vick has yet to be given a suspension at all other than a paid vacation from Training Camp.

Wow. What should happen now? Goodell should be fired.

At least now, we won't have to here anyone defending him saying that he is innocent until proven guilty. He is pleading guilty, and it is not just to owning a house where dogfighting took place. It is to participating in dogfighting and killing dogs that underachieve.

While I agree that the focus should maybe be on other crimes like murder, I think that this is a very important case in that someone who is rich and famous is actually going to go to jail. We have to many times where money and fame equals a get out of jail free card.

I am sure a number of high profile people who are also "into" this sadistic practice are sitting scared tonight. Maybe it will get them to thinking about finding another "hobby" and consider the consequences of their actions. Or even re-think how they feel about what they are doing.
In the house of public opinion, only if he had raped someone or ran around slapping orphans could he have done worse.
I bet others such as Clinton Portis and Chris Samuels are quaking in their shoes....
I think he is going to jail for a while and his endorsement contracts are gone. He will be lucky if he plays again. What a waste. I hope he gets therapy for his blood and gambling addiction while he is in prison. (at the very least maybe he and his friends will grow a pair of his own. You all know what I mean...)

18-36 months on the inside. A little prison rape. Then he can see how many teams want him to throw the rock for them.

What the hell is wrong with the America? It is amazing how America loves dogs more than human beings themselves.
Trust me, I love dogs, but the punishment Vick is getting for just owning a home where dog fighting took place is RIDICULOUS!! Think about it, people hunt and kill animals all
the time. Hell, they even have hunting season.
So you mean to tell me that its okay to kill a bear or dear, but if you kill a dog it means jail time?

It really doesn't make sense to me.

I truly believe that PETA and the media are trying to crucify Vick. Just earlier this year 2 other athletes were caught dog fighting but they weren't convicted and the media DID NOT tear them apart. Its like it didn't even happen.

Basically, all I am saying is killing animals should be illegal across the board. Not just with dogs. And not just with star athletes..BUT PERIOD. If a person kills a cat, they should be convicted. If a person kills a bird, they should be convicted. If a person kills a dog, they should be convicted.

WHATS REALLY SCARY IS THAT AMERICA THINKS ITS OK FOR A PERSON TO KILL AN UNBORN CHILD (ABORTION), BUT IF A PERSON KILLS A DOG..ITS A CONVICTION?!!

OUR PRIORITIES ARE ALL WRONG!!!
