With all the impending overpopulation and wars and famines, should people stop reproducing? I mean what does it even matter, they will be dead anyways in the end.

Children are one of the small rays of hope and love that you can experience in this life full of violence and war. You want to take that away from people?

Get your genes and your wife's (or future wife's) genes tested. If you are both physically and intellectually superior, then have many children ! If not, get sterilized.

This world will easily support 10 billion intelligent and moral Humans; if the present 6.5 billion Humans are not sufficiently intelligent and not adequately moral, then they will not survive.

Mere life or death here is not a spiritual or religious issue; it is merely an evolutionary animal-origin survival panic issue.

Fear not ! Be of good cheer ! Rejoice that you now have eternal life in God's Light in Jesus Christ in Spirit !

Spirit can not die ! Only the lowest part of you here -- your animal body -- dies. Good ! Your next body is super-animal -- a more real soul level on the way to being later an all perfect Spirit Personality as a Destiny Finalized Son of God.

If they ALL stop, it'll be the end of humanity in about 100 years. So that's not a good option.

If you can't support them, then I think you shouldn't have any. That's just being responsible.

Personally, I'd like to see the world's population start shrinking a bit. If it went down just a tiny fraction every year - say 1/2 percent each year - then in one generation, we'd solve a bunch of the world's problems. The biggest problem might be what to do with all the left-over houses, buildings, etc.

No. I just think they need to think about their future and future of their children. Plan how many they want, not wait until the wife can bear no more. I think the ideal is 2-3 kids. We cannot just stop reproducing, especially with today's generation.

The drought is so bad in California people might have to leave and migrate to another state. We could stop that by stopping people from moving into California and stop building new homes and stop having 3 or more kids ( I know the mormons & catholics are going o choke on that) Limit families to one child, period. We cannot keep going in the same direction and trashing our planet. WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF WATER!

Hey, grow up, reach down and grab a pair. The future has looked bleak for eons.
But far be it for me to impose or you worldliness.
Wait a couple of decades before you try to impress the world with your dizzying intellect

Wars, famine, etc. been an issue from the time of the barbarians, to the conquests of Julius Caesar, Napoleon Bonaparte, Xerxes, etc.

And yet, we're still here. So why stop?

Some people should stop breeding. The best answer would be to educate the kids we do have and try to make a change for the better, and to actually take responsibility for the children we have.

Children serve no practical purposes anyway. I do think Americans should stop having children, since children in America are just a financial, physical, and mental burden.

I think everyone who doesn't agree with me should definitely stop reproducing.

Yes.

A world of syncophants for me.

Now if you see the absurdity of that...you've answered your own question.
