I'd rather be off in the era of Star Trek or some futuristic place, but the days of Knights of the Round Table kind of appealed to me as well.

I would rather live during a period where humankind has reached to the stars. Still exploring. Colonies on strange and exotic worlds. Technology advanced to an unbelieveable level.

Ancient Egypt in the time of the Old Kingdom approximately 2500 BC. I'd like see what the pyramids looked like when they were new. That society is so different from our own it could have taken place on another planet. The main drawback of going back in time is that life expectancy was like 30. That would be a bummer. Since we're just dreaming anyway let me say that I would not have liked to be a priest back then. They had to remove all the hair on their bodies and took 6 baths a day. I don't have a aversion to taking baths but that included 3 baths during the day, and here's the strange part, and three times a night. Can you imagine having to wake up three times to go take a bath? WOW, how dirty could they get?

In the knights of the round table era life was pretty grungy even if you lived in a castle. Everyone ate and slept in the same rooms with the animals and there was straw on the floors because of, well you can imaging.

Every time I think about living in an earlier age I think what it would be like to go to the dentist. That kind of takes the thrill away.
However if there is anything I am sorry I missed it would be the golden age of radio drama. I would love to have had a career writing and producing radio programs like Phillip Marlowe, Private Detective and Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar.

If I could take air conditioning with me, I'd like to VISIT just about any other time period.

I would love to time travel to when my parents and grandparents were growing up and get to know them as teens or children. I would also like to take my kids back to the time when I was growing up and let them experience some of the things I did and know the people that I knew.

Post WWII, late 40's would be kind of cool. Most of the world was getting back on their feet and times were good in a lot of places.

I think the later 19th century, the late Victorian era or
the 1890's, say from 1860s to 1914. Seems like a lot of interesting stuff was going on then, beautiful art, fascinating people, interesting inventions, great literature. A very
interesting period of history. My grandparents told me
a lot about it. They lived then.

the destiny. I have not have been given any romantic notions of different time classes. human beings seem to have a bent to undertaking their nostalgia onto 'less complicated' cases yet i think of that human beings are nonetheless human beings, with all their complexity, whenever you lived. i do no longer think in cases getting extra suitable or worse the two, each and each era has its very own concerns, values, ideals, fears and anxieties. specific the rather 'high quality' of existence could seem improving, yet no longer probably. All our conveniences like cutting-area scientific care are out of the attain of larger numbers of human beings than ever. (thinking the inhabitants explosion) i might % sometime interior the destiny only out of interest. to make certain the place we are ultimately heading vis-a-vis worldwide warming, terrorism and what no longer.

I'd want to live in the 1940s. I know it was not the best of times because of the war and such. But I like the clothes and hairstyles of that era. I would have also made a good housewife. : )

Good Q!!!!
I was born in 1978, I have always loved the idea of living in the 20's, 1920's that is. Second choice, definitely being a young adult in early 1950. I have no clue why; probably media/unholywood induced 'nostalgia'.
God Bless!

My first choice would be during Renaissance times. I would be a wench that serves drinks in the pub, living in my uncles barn with the horses.

My second choice would be back in the 40's. I would be a famous movie star with blonde hair and a soft deep voice.
