blaming you ever learn the truth?

This is such a sore point with me... and goes back many, many years...
I was about 8 - 10 years old at the time (i think) and on holiday with my dad, step-mother, my sister and step-brother & step-sister. We were all staying at a butlins type of place in a challet.
We were all taking turns at doing the washing up / drying..etc and one evening after i'd either washed or dried - a glass was broken. So, my dad & step-mother tried to find out who broke it. I know for a fact that it wasn't me, but despite my protests of innocence, no one else would own up... so what happened next I am very unhappy about.
We were all stripped from the waist down and told to lie face down on our beds while my step-mother went from one to the other smacking our bums and asking us to tell the truth. This got harder and harder, until eventually because no one wold own up, i was hauled into the living room, still half naked and told by my father to own up... which i wouldn't (because it wasn't me!).....
so... after all that humiliation - still no one owned up & i still don't know who it was... and as you can see... it left its mark on me albeit not a physical one... and for that, i despise my father for treating me like that.

I can only remember things I blamed others for in my life. Those are the ones that bothered me. I have asked for forgiveness & it has been granted. Free at last !!!
I have let go of all wrongs, done by anyone to me, and there where many. It is such a great feeling to be free of that. I hold no anomosity toward anyone.!!!
We where all guilty at the blame game at sometime in our life, so I am sure the truth was found out. If not I pray everyone moved on in their life with no long lasting problems as a result.

My dad automatically blames me for everything. I used to get yelled at all the time for things my mom did. :(
Oh yea... I got blamed by him for him messing around on my mom with another woman. Because apparently, if I had never been born, then the family would be happier......

yes i was blamed for something i didnt do and the person said she believed me but brought it back up recently!! i guess she will never know the truth!

Yes, alot. And that person, hasn't ever admitted..and probably will not. I just take it, and go on. I know the truth and if no one else cares, then I am satisfied knowing that I wasn't responsible.

This happened in kindergarten. A mean boy had me & a friend backed up against a bookcase that wasn't against a wall & he just kept coming toward us & we just kept backing up. Well, we knocked over the bookcase because we were scared of him, because he was going to hit us (or so he said). He ran & told the teacher that we pushed the bookcase over. The teacher never believed us that he was being mean & backing us into the bookcase. We got in so much trouble....
Edit: Can't believe I haven't forgotten that??? Weird...

I have took the blame so many times for my sister I couldn't begin to tell you.No I absolutely have never, ever, told what it was all about and never will.I got in big trouble too!

Yes and I must say it was one of the most painful and frustrating times of my life. I pride myself on being a decent and honest person. What I was accused of was soooo out of character....and believed by someone very dear to me.
Although it was dropped.......to this day I can't say I am believed. But what are ya gonna do?

Always as a child, especially when you come from a very large family, someone always blames someone for something.....
