you have a couple options options. buy a cheap low capacity external harddrive, (less than $40 for somethign worth while)
-or-
most stores like walmart sell a cable that is a USB plug on both sides and you just plug it into both. i think its less than $10
-or-
burn them to DVD.

I recommend two options: Use a router and add both computers to the same group and share files. The router may be wireless or not, doesn't matter as long as you have enough wires.
Use a crossed-over wire, you can plug a computer opposite to the other and share files directly without any router.

Do you have a network at home (like a router for internet), why not create a share and copy all the files over the local network.

you should create a computer network that would connect both coputers. try to search more about computer networking.
you would usually need a router and some cables and some jacks.
