I finished the Harry Potter book shortly after it came out. Even though my brother spoiled it for me (told me who died, ect. >.<), lol. Neway, does anyone feel empty knowing you won't be reading another book?

This question has been asked a FEW times! of course people will now feel empty. The thing to do however is move on. JK started a reading revolution. Lets not let here down by not moving forward.

Here are a few books to read next:

Maximum Ride series by James Patterson
Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer
The Sprawl trilogy by William Gibson
Daughter of the Lioness series by Tamora Pierce
Princess Diaries series by Meg Cabot.
The Hobbit and LOTR series by J.R.R. Tolkien
Xenogenesis Series by Nebula and Hugo award winning author Octavia E. Butler
His Dark Materials series by Philip Pullman
Eragon series by Christopher Paolini.

Non-Series:

Abarat by Clive Barker
Fire Starter by Stephen King (more thriller than horror)
Stardust by Neil Gaiman
A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray
The Righteous Men by Sam Bourne

Nope. Loved the series while it was out...but now its time to move on and discover other amazing books, which I have already done so. Now, I'm even writing my own novel (though I doubt it'll have as much fame as Harry Potter) :)

Try that life-after-Harry-Potter website that Jim created...it should help you find other books to cheer you up.

Best of luck! :)

Yes, definitely. I've been reading summer reading project that's due tomorrow (I still have to write 5 more pages on it, ugh) but I am trying to find some good books to read until I find something else I really like.

yeah, a little although we do have 2 more movies to look forward to. Granted, we already know how they'll turn out, but I think the feeling of loss of this group of fictional friends is what has everyone wondering if whe'll write a sequel series or 8th book

Ralph (^ way up there somewhere) is dead on about Artemis Fowl. Everyone should read those books, they are amazing.

Yeah, I wish she would write a new series about the life of Dumbledore or Harry's folks.

Ummmm... im not a Hp fan, so I guess I can't really reassure you. But, to every book their must be an ending, but to journey, their must be a road. Any way, try reading "Wren's Quest" it's sooo good. It's a fantasy book, and I'm sure you will love it.

Well, she's going to write a Harry Potter encyclopedia for charity, so it's not really good-bye...
