i am doing project...and i need to do a diary for a character in a book....can u give me some ideas of how the cover should look like......

It could sort of be a collage...with different sketches of other characters or events that have occurred with the main character. You could also put quotes from the character on there and make it look as if the character actuallly wrote them.

I am actually writing my novel into an old diary that I never used!

Mine had flowers on the back(that's how it came) and to cover up the fact that it said "Diary 2006" I cut a snow flake the size of the cover, and then laminated it in sticky tape...

The inside has notes and drawings, and scribbles... That book goes everywhere with me, and so whenever i need to take some information down, it goes there...

Perhaps you could do that for the whole cover? With the scribbling of notes???

Or... Depending on the character, and her age, and interests, you could do some of those knotted rope things or those knotted "friendship" bands that Pre-teens and young teens make???

I had a book that i covered in this material that i really liked, once... It was really nice... Very vibrant material... Perhaps get a material that you think reflects her mood, cover the book in that, and you could also do some scribbles along that... Following the pattern with other colours...

It should look like someone took a piece of white paper and drip different bright colors of wax over it.

draw a really big eye. Claim you drew it cause eyes are supposed to be the portals to people's souls.

or, you could draw a keyhole,

or, you could just put a pretty picture on it.

I like the collage idea too...
