Do you think you would be happier? What would give you that happiness that maybe you do not have right now?

This is really tricky because for every bad thing I've done or had done to me in life, something good has come of it. For example, a bad relationship that I spent way too long in but I got 3 beautiful, loving sons out of it. I would go through it all again for them. My mother died when I was 3, but then my grandmother (who raised 7 boys) got to raise her one and only girl. I think the only thing I would do differently is spend a little more time with my grandmother before she died. I really do not think I could change anything to make myself happier because I believe happiness is what you make it. Different things make different people happy and right now I can truly say I am content.

I can from experience say, what I and only a handful of people on this planet went through. I am not writing about Vietnam or any other cannon fodder exercise. It never existed.

I would not change a thing, could not even think about changing the course of events, that made me, the person I am today.

I have my ups and downs, the course is exactly the same as anybody else. Could be my peers, who experienced the same and their lives didn't turn out as well, would maybe rethink.

I don't speak for them.

My life, turned out as the program insisted it would, though some of the contract never honored. Well that possibly was because, I wasn't to survive, so there was no expectation of ever honoring any contract.

I survived.

I am successful at what I do.

My work is seen by a lot of people all around the world, but they don't know it was me that had a hand in there.

I wouldn't change a thing, and if I was to see the people again from my past, I know exactly what would be going through their minds.

No changes, no what ifs.

I am happy and had to work hard for it.

I think I've had the kind of life that is worth writing books about. Oh yeah, I am a published author. LOL Seriously, If you could imagine the very worst thing that could ever happen to you in your life time chances are I've been there. The things I've seen could shock people.

With all that said, I am the most forgiving, the most sincere and the most down to earth person because of it. I get it. I suppose that I will continue to share what I've learned and that gives me great joy.

I wouldn't change anything. Not one bad part, not one great joy because that is who I am. I judge no one. I throw no stone. I get that all people are good and evil. I truly do. It's what has made me the kind of person I always knew I would be.

I would have bought a house at age 25 instead of renting, would have taken full advantage of all the retirement account perks, and would have had children.

Don't know if I would have been happier, because I am pretty happy now. Would have had more security for the years ahead, and that gives peace of mind.

Wish we would have been able to have children, because we would have loved them so much. That is my only real regret, but it was beyond our control for health reasons.

I think the only thing I would do differently is spend more time with my loved ones. I guess I always thought I had all the time in the world to spend with them. If I knew that I would never see or speak to them again I would have said something more or spent every second I could with them. Naturally there are other things I would change. But showing the love and affection to my truly missed loved ones would be the most important to me. Good Luck & God Bless!

I would not change a thing. Everything that I have done good or bad is a culmination of the person I have become and grown to be. I am not perfect but I am happy with my self over all and have gone through allot of rotten times to be able to appreciate all the good times. if I can look back and learn from my mistakes and accept the fact that I DID make mistakes and get over it than I can be happy with the person I see in the mirror................

I was going to list so many things, but realized that I can not go back and should enjoy life now. When you think of the past to much, it's hard to move on. I do think about the question that you posted though.

I don't like this kind of questions.. Because of the "if..." part... And knowing that I can do NOTHING to change my past!
