Is there any advantage of going to Vegas during the week vs. the weekend? Hotels cheaper? Less crowds?

Generally weekdays are cheapest, but you can still find good deals if there happens to be a slow weekend (keep you ears open). Weekends will draw the people who want to spend more money. The women will be dressed more sexy, the men will be dressed flashier, the clubs will be crowded, and most of the table minimums will be higher. But everything offered on the weekends will also be avaliable during the weekdays (except most shows will use a weekday or two as their weekend).
The only thing you may notice unusual about the week in Las Vegas is that there are more conventions in town.
Remember, people travel more on the weekends and holidays (for obvious reasons), but the number of rooms remains the same. During the week, they will have to lower their prices in order to fill their rooms.

Weekday is cheaper and there are less of a crowd then on the weekend, Vegas during the week is not that much different then the weekend. Just more people during the weekend.

I've got a family of 5, so going during the middle of the week works out because it's less expensive. But, the weekend crowds tend to attract people who can't escape M-F. LOTS of younger people out and about during the weekend. I prefer weekday visits because it's less crowded and we get better hotel rates.

Definitely during the week. Way cheaper and way less people. Sunday night is the best night of the week. Everyone from California has headed back after checking out in the afternoon. You can get into shows during the week but be careful for dark days for each show. Weekends are for party people and for the groups from California.

Friday and Saturday are much better. The hottest women come out to play! clubs are more crowded on the weekends and the hotel rate are twice to three times as much. If you like the nightlife go on the weekend, if not save your money.

weekdays are the way to go-yeah cheaper hotels, lots cheaper gambling,as the table rates go up when the crowd rolls(drive ) in from CA,Utah,AZ,, on the weekends, the strip gets bog down-just to drive a few blocks ..

The hotels are significantly cheaper - in some cases, half price or less per night. The city itself isn't less crowded, per se, but you'll have an easier time getting show tickets and restuarant reservations.

Sunday through Thursday is almost always considerable cheaper than weekends
If you're looking for the best dates left this year for low rates, try.
September 3rd to the 6th(4 nights)
And then again
December 9th to the 28th
These are far and away the best rates of the year. If you will do a little research and keep checking, you will find great deals.
