I just set it aside honestly I can't fathom why I am still employed. Am quite possibly the laziest person ever. Have yet to do a bit of work today and it's 2 here.

I just tell them I'm working on something but it's not a high priority so you can put it aside and start working on their stuff right away. That way they think you have stuff to do, but also think you are a great worker and a team player because you'll drop whatever you're doing to help them out.

You crack me up. I set it aside like I'm real busy with something else. I was all up in an email a few minutes ago and my boss came in and said he hated to disturb me . . . I bit my tongue though. Oh - my potatoes were wonderful btw. EDIT: I feel a tad inadequate now that I see that everybody else jumps right to it. WTFE - that's just how I roll. â¥

When I'm at work the Boss get's more than his money's worth that's for sure! I like to stay busy it makes the day go by faster!

I usually start it right away. Chances are I went and asked for something to do, so it would be silly to pretend like I'm busy when I'm not.

If it's something that'll only take a minute, I do it right away, if they give me a bunch of stuff, I prioritize, and do whatever needs to be done first, first.
