I also dont understand how to simplify (4x-3y)(x+5y)
Please if you can explain either problem in detail.

Lol, im trying to recall my highschool days. let me just try...
first, lets remember in multiplication and division, (+) x (+) = (+), (-) x (-) = (+), (+) x (-) = (-). In adding and subtracting, carry the sign of the bigger number. Standard operations, (MDAS), do multiplication, division, addition and subtraction in order. lets try this case: (3x^2 + x + 1)(2x - 3)
lets do the multiplication first. multiply both sides.
(3x^2)(2x) = 6x^3 (both positive, add the exponents; 2+1=3.
(3x^2)(-3) = -9x^2 (multiplying (-) and (+) = (-)
(x)(2x) = 2x^2 (add the exponents when multiplying.
(x)(-3) = -3x
(1)(2x) = 2x
(1)(-3) = -3x

the results would be

6x^3 -9x^2 +2x^2 -3x +2x -3

in simplifying, combine those with same exponents.
6x^3
(-9x^2 +2x^2) = -7x^2
(-3x +2x) = -1x or simply -x
-3

so that would be 6x^3 -7x^2 -x -3.

p.s. im not really sure about this. heheh pls let me know if my answer is right or wrong. thanks! I think its been a decade since I last did this.

it is easy: 1) (3x^2+x+1)(2x-3)
take the small bracket and multiply each term by the big bracket
=(6x^3+2x^2+2x)-9x^2-3x-3
=6x^3-7x^2-x-3

For the second one use the same idea:
=4x^2-3xy+20xy-15y^2
=4x^2+17xy-15y^2

In the first problem it shd be equal to something and in second there should be 2 equations to solve to variables.
