Norse is a region. Dane is someone from Denmark.

Example: You can be an American from Texas (Texan).

You would be a Norse from Norway or Denmark.

I also think (not sure) that Norsemen is an old term. Used in antiquity before the Scandinavian Countries were really solidified. As in OK your Norway, your Denmark.....

Danes are Norsemen; but Norsemen are not necessarily Danes. Norse is considered to do with Scandinavia in general.

Danish people are one of the many groups known as Norsemen. Others include Sweden, Iceland, Finland, Norway. Also some people that were originally from Denmark were the Angles and Saxons who left Denmark for Germany when the areas they had settled started to flood. However since Germany was not big enough for all of them to settle in many of them left for Britain.
