TBC takes harddrive space on the computer. Make sure you have the minimum requirements for the game, it is more demanding than the original game. It will not "eat" your RAM, but will use them. If you notice a slow down you can buy more RAM, I suggest 1gb at minimum and 2gb for best results. Remember, when you restart the computer, the RAM is cleared.

You will need to keep WoW and the expansion pack both on the computer. You should read up what an expansion pack is.

Here are the system requirements.

PC System Requirements

* OS: Windows 2000 (Service Pack 4) or Windows XP (Service Pack 2)
* Processor: Intel Pentium3 800MHz or AMD Athlon 800MHz
* Memory:
o Minimum: 512 MB RAM
o Recommended: 1GB RAM
* Video:
o Minimum: 32MB 3D graphics processor with Hardware Transform and Lighting, such as an NVIDIA GeForce 2 class card or above
o Recommended: 64MB VRAM 3D graphics processor with Vertex and Pixel Shader capability, such as an NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700 class card or above
* Sound: DirectX-compatible sound card

Mac System Requirements

* OS: Mac OS X 10.3.9 or newer
* Processor:
o Minimum: 933MHz G4/G5
o Recommended: 1.8GHz G5/Intel
* Memory:
o Minimum: 512MB RAM
o Recommended: 1GB DDR RAM
* Video:
o Minimum: NVIDIA or ATI graphics processor with 32MB VRAM
o Recommended: 64MB VRAM

All Platforms

* Controls: A keyboard and mouse are required. Input devices other than a mouse and keyboard are not supported.
* Connectivity: You must have an active broadband Internet connection to play.
* Mouse: Multi-button mouse with scroll wheel recommended.

TBC won't increase your RAM usage, at least not by a noticeable amount. What you will see is an increase in the amount of disk space needed for the game. TBC is merely more in game content (more territories, characters, items, higher levels, etc...).

Does anyone know if the next expansion will include TBC content or would I need to buy both expansions to get all the content? I already have TBC, but the whole family is addicted and I will likely have to purchase 3 more copies. I'd love to only have to buy WoW and the new expansion if possible.

No, in order to play TBC you will need the original WOW files. Think of it like a building, you can't add on two floors and then take the bottom ones out.

In order to run any kind of gaming on your computer you need 3 essential things:
1- good memory ( at least 2MB)
2- Fast processor
3- good video card ( high resolution)

and you won't afraid on anything, installing a software and deleting portion of it, is recordable.

If you are afraid of using to much RAM, just max your systems, ram and you should be fine as long as your computer is not to old.
