how do i install an tach in my 73 pontaic bonnevlle?

That will all depend which type of ignition system you have in the motor. If you have point ignition you have to connect onto the side of the coil that connects to the distributor. If you have an HEI system where the coil is inside the distributor cap, then all you have to do is connect the tach wire to the connector right beside the power connection to the distrubutor cap. It actually says tach if you look closely at it. Most of the time this connector is open or unused, but it is a live circuit. Good luck.

try reading the instructions that came with the tach for starters.
If ya cant read or don't have the directions there are 3 wires should be a black green or red an a white red to dist where it says coil where the wires plug in black or green is ground white is for the light just hook it up to a wire or fuse for the dash lights good luck
