No its not really that safe. Pills don't protect you from STDS. Condoms do. And you're doubling you're birth control so chances of getting pregnant are even slimmer. Tell your boyfriend to wear one, or he won't be getting any.

As already stated, the pill doesn't protect you from STD's which seem to hae become a major problem among teens nowadays. Use a condom, until you are married. It's always better to be safe. Some of these diseases are not cureable, only manageable. My friend was faithful, her man wasn't, she's now got genital herpes for which there is no cure. Hold onto your convictions and don't do it until you are ready for any possibility of pregnancy and/or STD's. Good luck.

It is safe it you take it according to the directions, and you are only having sex with one man, remember it does not prevent STD's.
It sounds like you may not be comfortable unless he is using a condom, if that is the case you need to insist, it is important that you are completely comfortable with this

The pill if pretty reliable.

But I would be concerned about existing std's and your bf's past sexual history before I would agree to no condom. He should prove he is 'clean'.

That being said good for you for deciding not to have sex. It really should wait for marriage.

The pill is designed to be your ONLY form of contraception. If you take it as directed it is perfectly safe to rely solely on the pill for pregnancy prevention.

That said, it sounds like your guy is trying to persuade you to have sex with him and you don't want to. You don't have to give him a reason. If you don't want to, don't.

the pill won't protect against STD's condoms do, they are up to 99% effective against STD's. So if your b/f wants some a** tell him to wear a party hat.

The only thing to protect you from STD's are a condom (male or female ones are available on the market).

STD's can seriously harm your body - google it and learn more!

if you dont want to have sex yet, DON'T. and as for the guy, dump him. if he wants to have unprotected sex, he probably has with other girls, and we all know, STDs are everywhere! remember, you will be sleeping with everyone he has, and everyone she has, and everyone she and he has, and so on. by having unprotected sex with one guy you could be sleeping with hundreds of people, and do you know they don't have anything?
