considering sri lanka, pakistan & india itself have banned players from joining the ICL saying that if they do, they will never be allowed to play for their country ever again, i don't think it poses a threat to other asian cricketing countries. the ICL is about 3 things: 1. making money - broadcasting rights r huge 2. twenty20 cricket is catching on all over the world - entertainment purposes 3. bringing a different format of the game to indian youngsters

Though the declared aim is to spot the talent4ed youngsters, groom them up and make Indian cricket strong in the world, the hidden agenda is to make money.
