I second Library Queen - Kamehameha (kah MAY hah MAY ha) I.
Personal note - I visited the Pali Lookout on Oahu where Kamehameha's Big Island warriors shoved the Oahu warriors off the cliffs to take control of Oahu, in 1795. The wind tore my glasses from my face - very dramatic windward Oahu spot.

is that Kamehameha?
ka meh ha meh ha (roughtly--the beauty about Hawai'ian is that it's pretty much pronounced as it's spelled. Shorter alphabet, no silent vowels, etc.)
