I personally like the law stating that Whale hunting in Oklahoma is illegal. Although I've seen some at the lakes that should have at least been harpooned... LoL. =0)

In Lincolnshire in UK one or two odd laws too!
A single lady may not walk between two gentlemen after 6pm!
You may only carry a pitchfork within the city walls if you carry also a fowl!
If you are found drunk in the streets before 6am you will have your right to use the public baths taken from you for a year!
You may not pull teeth, cut hair or stick pigs on the Sabbath!
Actually - there are so many of these sorts of laws from all over the UK that they are almost too many to mention - all to do with the length of time that the law has presided over the land - isn't a shame that the ones that they do pass these days have absolutely no - or very little - in the way of retribution or discipline?
Hey ho - the good old days - back in the middle ages!

Yes, I know the crazy laws in Nevada. My favorite is that's it's illegal to herd camels and drive them down a highway. Some other states have doozies too. It's still against the law to play a ukelele on the streets of Salt Lake City and you can't have a slot machine inside an out house in Bexley, Ohio.

In my state:
Thistle may not grow in ones backyard
You may not curse inside the city limits
It is illegal to use profane language on the playground
Persons may not swear on the highway
Most be a lot of foul-mouthed people here!

I know that it is legal to shoot a Scotsman with a musket inside the city walls of York on a certain time of the year at a certain time in the afternoon.

Thanks for sharing this website with us. I checked the site to see what the "stupid state laws" were in S.C. & the very first one said, "it was an offense to have a tatoo." Boy, have things changed. Tattoo shops are everywhere down here. ~lol~

In Mississippi it is against the law to rustle cattle. Punishment hanging.
In a town that my husband grew up in it is against the law to shave in the center of main street. (?)
