Why won't papa john's let me order a sampler pizza? I explained to the guy I had never had them before I was a Domino's guy and I wondered how good they were. he assured me they were tasty, but I didnt know what I want and wanted to try like a sampler pizza, something with just a little bit of everything, not mixed together so i can be more decisive next time and not have to go through this. long in short, he was abusive in language to me over it, refused to let me order it, and i ended up calling pizza hut, because my last experience with domino's involved a driver with bad hygiene. Anybody else experience this?

Unfortunately, things like that happen when morons are allowed to work in the customer service business. Too bad you couldnt report him to his manager. I am sure his manager would not like the fact that one of his employees is losing business for them. Pizza hut is great but I like the family-owned stores myself. They really go out of their way to please you.

From personal experience, Papa John's has the best hand-tossed, non-fried crust with a sweet sauce and excellent toppings. My favorite is the Chicken Barbeque (minus the onions). It's not like regular pizza, it has barbeque sauce instead of pizza sauce.
Papa John's can't just let you order a sampler pizza. Duh! What if everybody called and asked for a sampler pizza? That would cost a fortune. If you really want a sample, buy one of the small pizza's and if you don't like it, don't order or buy another one. That's really the only way to know if you will like it or not. If that's not a sufficient answer, then stick to what you know and quit bitching about not being able to get a FREE pizza. If you can't afford a small pizza, then you probably shouldn't be eating out anyway. Everybody wants something for free and that's not how it works.
Besides that, you probably sounded like a bum trying to get a free pizza and I'm sure he was frustrated that you had even asked. Maybe you should try a place with a buffet, so you can try a little bit of everything.

Well, don't you have a favorite like pepperoni? You could just have half pizza of pepperoni and half of supreme or whatever. Papa John's is my all time favorite place! They are wonderful to work with, never had a problem. I love their pizza.. Pizza Hut comes 2nd cus I like their stuffed crust but don't order it very often. n

Poor customer service, at least that's my first thoughts. Keep in mind you might of spoken to a teenager who doesn't care about pleasing customers, only for a pay check. If you call back again ask for a manager, their might help you out and give you a better service. If the manager doesn't help you out, then it shows poor customer service and they don't care about receiving new clients. Making a pizza how you explained it doesn't take that much time and it shouldn't be to costly either.

I worked for dominos.
That is poor service from Papa John's. Not trying to satify their customers.

forget those fast food pizza places, order from a real mom and pop italian pizzeria! they will treat you right and serve better quality food.
