Probably the "liberator", it was a breech loading single shot .45 handgun that was essentially an assasination pistol. To reload you needed to remove the breech, remove the spent cartridge, then load a fresh round and reassemble. It was made almost entirely of steel pressings, spare ammo was carried in the pistol grip. As far as I'm aware, it was initially designed as a "survival kit" pistol, but since most aircrew carried a side arm, it was quickly sidelined from regular service and it's "potential" spotted by the OSS.

I know of no such weapon used in WW II . If I had to venture a guess, it would be something of a pengun.
