For your first day, you probably won't need a whole lot. Most professors spend the first class meeting reviewing the syllabus and taking attendance, etc. You will want to bring the books that you purchased for the class to verify that you have the correct ones, a notebook or binder with lined paper to take notes, and of course a pen/pencil to take notes with and to write down pertinent information (such as the professor's email or phone number). Good luck on your first day of classes!

This question depends on your college, course and professor. Typically, to prepare students for the first day of class, professors will post (online usually) an assignment. Bring your course book, answers and thoughts on that assignment to class and you will do just fine. If you are in the sciences you might have to bring additional supplies, particularly if you are having a lab class on the first day. Congradulations on getting into school and good luck!

All you really need is the textbook, pen and paper for the first day. I wouldn't show up for the first day without the required text because some professors will launch right in and you don't want to look unprepared. If you are staying in the dorm you should also have a beer bong to make the right first impression.

Be sure you have a notebook and a pen to take noted with. Other than that, you'll find out what supplies you need as you get into your classes.
