It's basic human nature to compare what I had to what you have. I don't believe that all mature people treat all younger people the way you describe.
There's absolutely no question that today's world is a different one than even 10 years ago.
Change is life!! We can't ever stop questioning it.

Because youngsters are the problem.

How often do you see a pensioner beat up a hoodie for his mobile?

How many old people are in prison?

When was the last time your Grandad got caught for speeding?

But don't worry. Life will catch up with you and you will become one of those old people talking down the pensioners club about how terrible youngsters are.

You're 23 now. Only another 42 years and you'll be collecting your bus pass. And those years will fly by bloody quick and then it will all come clear.

The education is getting business-like and therefore, getting easier and easier. You can't deny that the youth are doing lots of what consider as 'unnatural' stuff for the older ones such as not having social enough with friends and staying in with the computer chatting or games...It's just a very different life style and when people get old, they can't accept different things easily. It's just like you can't get caught in singing oldies.By the time you reach 50-60, you'll be saying the same thing they are saying to you now.

Salam

Funny you say that, cause I just got a hair cut and there was 2 people and one was older and one was younger.

Salam to you all but inshAllah there is such a generation gap of understanding and they are pissed off cause we didn't listen to them again, so they went astray a bit, and so the children too they are tired of being pushed around so they went astray too... but we can find this light in thier right eye connected to their heart which is connected to their brain Al hamdoullah that is the keys of the person and you can easliy spot the ones on the RIGHT, they are always honest and never lie and always repent and beg forgiveness from their LORD Allah SWT he has many names but he like you to use that one because he will then exhault as you exhault blessings to him unto thee. He Allah SWT doesn't need it so he gives it back 10 fold minimum
Khair inshAllah

And there was I, thinking it was the other way around!

Well, a wise man once said, 'Every generation revolts against its fathers and makes friends with its grandfathers', so there's something for you to look forward to!

(You sound like a lovely person, and I wish I was your Granny.)

I don't agree, you are generalising, but as far as A levels are concerned they are nowhere as difficult as they were years ago. I
could show you some papers in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Biology, that would be way beyond today's pupils.
