I would answer "old photos". But it's true that a letter is a very precious thing. Because words can sometimes describe better than a picture.

Letters. With photos there aren't any words for your mind to process with them.
But with letters; words often literally jumps off the page and thousands of pictures invade the mind.
Words are far more powerful than photos.

Photos for sure...but the few letters from my husband when he was in basic training are very dear to my heart. He opened up his soul to me in those letters. I can do much more reminiscing with photos.

It depends. Like from friends, photos. From my daughter it's her letters. Old flames it's letters... but some photos too, just depends.
